Carnival Spirit Ship Activities

Playing it cool isn't hard at WaterWorks - after all, you're among waterslides like Twister Waterslide - plus you can always cool down, or warm up, with a dip in the domed swimming pool. Keep the kids entertained with plenty of choice on activities and fun chances to make new friends.

• WaterWorks: Head on over to WaterWorks, Carnival's onboard waterpark. First up, there's the Twister Waterslide, hundreds of feet of spiraling awesomeness that starts you off high in the air and gets you down low with one of the fastest, wettest rides you'll find anywhere.
• Twister Waterslide: Spot the spiraling Twister Waterslide atop your Carnival ship and you can be sure that your vacation comes complete with twists, turns and squeals of thrilled delight.
• Seuss at Sea: Enjoy a special onboard character parade, interactive story time, arts & crafts activities, character breakfast featuring their favorite Dr. Seuss' friends and more. Seuss at Sea truly brings your child's favorite books to life.
• Build-A-Bear Workshop at Sea: When kids visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop At Sea, they use their little hands and big creativity to bring a new stuffed friend to life. They can customize their furry friend from head to toe by choosing the bear, clothing and accessories.
• Bingo: Get ready to play some crazy-exciting, hoot-and-holler-if-you-win-big bingo! The prizes are bigger, the packages are more fun and there are even souvenir daubers to mark your numbers.
• Atrium: The entrance to the ship and to vacation itself - is your first impression of all the fun to come.
• Mini Golf: Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway.
• Basketball: You may think basketball is all about the hoop and getting the ball in there, but you may not have ever played on a Carnival ship. Here, it's all about the journey to the hoop: the view and the sea breeze you take in as you drive your way past defenders to put the rock in the bucket.
• Art Exhibitions: Even if you don't "know" much about art, of course you can still tell when you like something - who needs a refined palette to know when a piece is good?
• Games: Play is essential to childhood development - that's what cognitive scientists (fully-grown adults without bedtimes) believe!
• Art Seminars: Go from 'normal vacationer' to 'world-traveling art whiz' in one cruise flat.

Carnival Spirit Ship Dining

The recommendation: sail hungry. After all, you'll be enjoying meals in three-course style in the Empire Restaurant or just go ahead and build a meal with as many courses as you like at the casual-style, variety-packed Lido Restaurant. Speaking of casual, the trio of RedFrog Pub, Guy's Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina, each put their own delicious spins on flavor itself. To get a little fancy, sit down at Nouveau Steakhouse. To get a lot un-fancy - and they mean this in the most delicious way possible - check out 24-hour pizza and soft-serve.

Guy's Burger Joint
Carnival went looking for someone to help grill up the best burgers at sea, and they found just the guy. Carnival has teamed up with best-selling author, restaurateur and Food Network personality Guy Fieri to bring all the authentic appeal of a roadside burger shack to Guy's Burger Joint, the cool poolside spot for hot burgers and hand-cut fries. Try a fresh-off-the-grill burger Guy's way, or take it off-road to the toppings bar and truly make it your own.

BlueIguana Cantina
Nobody knows Mexican dining like a blue iguana. Well, Carnivals' very own blue iguana, at least. That's why it should come as no surprise that the BlueIguana Cantina features freshly made tacos and burritos stuffed specially for your enjoyment. Throw homemade tortillas and salsa into the mix, and you have a casual dining experience that will make you say "mmmm" (which is actually Iguanese for "more, please").

Pizzeria del Capitano
On Carnival ships, the captain tends to be kind of a big deal - almost a celebrity. On a few select ships, they've even got their own pizza kitchen. The best part? Pizzeria del Capitano is open to everyone, 24 hours a day! And since Carnivals' captains tend to be Italian, you know the quality of the ingredients truly pass muster. (Sorry, nautical pun.) Hand-tossed dough, made from imported Italian flour, plus fresh mozzarella form a solid base, and a choice of toppings put the finishing touches on this piping hot, fresh-from-the-oven mealtime - or anytime - classic. (Also, try the caesar salad - buono, capisce?)

Pizza Delivery
Any time of day, or night, pick your toppings, tell them where on the ship you're hanging out through the Carnival Hub app, and optionally, take a selfie to help the delivery folks find you. (Delivery's just $5 per pie... and the pizzas are always free!)

Lido Marketplace
Lido Marketplace always has a special something ready to satisfy your latest craving spectacularly. Here they do it with dozens of what-to-eat options. Great choices like BBQ, a deli counter, salad bar, an Asian station and a pasta bar, plus one spot where the chef serves up a different surprise daily!

Steakhouse
Turn your special vacation in the direction of delicious - book a table for an unforgettably delectable evening at the onboard Steakhouse. This menu features mouthwatering premium cuts of beef cooked to your exact specifications, as well as a fantastic selection of seafood, entrees, gourmet appetizers, and even a wine list that got the nod from Wine Spectator. (They actually call it the Award of Excellence.) The Steakhouse's atmosphere pairs remarkably well with, and perhaps even enhances, the culinary creations of the gourmet chefs.

Dining Room
Carnival sets the table for you. They also bring to the table a full three courses in an experience that's filling, but never stuffy - after all, you're just as likely to catch waiters table-dancing as you are to order dessert. Dessert's included (along with the rest of your meal, by the way) in your fare. But don't skip straight to dessert, because the main course is the main attraction - drop in daily and enjoy a rotating menu of delectable favorites like steak, roasted duck, scallops and prime rib.

The Chef's Table
Treat your taste buds to the experience of a lifetime, culminating in a sumptuous multicourse dinner hosted by the Master Executive Chef. Your VIP experience starts with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for a select group of 14, followed by a mind-blowing full-service dinner of amazing appetizers, entrees and desserts not found in regular dining menus.

Bonsai Sushi
So maybe you've had sushi on a cruise before, but you've never had it like Bonsai Sushi, the onboard seafood-and-soy-sauce spot. No magic spells are required to enjoy a cocktail creation at Alchemy Bar, the unique vintage-themed cocktail "pharmacy" - all you need is a willingness to be surprised, to try something new. Choose a remedy from the menu, or let them prescribe you a custom elixir just for you, with or without alcohol.

RedFrog Pub
Get into an island state of mind before you even set foot on one. RedFrog Pub is a laid-back, no-worries, oh-so-lively Key West-inspired pub. Sample Caribbean fare, dominate at the foosball table, enjoy some sweet tunes from live musicians and sip tasty signature private-label brew, ThirstyFrog Red. So kick back and feel the island vibe come to life. You'll be a local here before you know it.

RedFrog Rum Bar
Guests have told Carnival that they hit on something special with the cool Caribbean chill of the RedFrog Pub. Carnival has taken the best parts and brought them poolside with the RedFrog Rum Bar, where the frog keeps the fun hopping day and night with all the island flava you know and love. Join the party at this poolside bar featuring a great selection of frog-approved Caribbean rum-based concoctions available by the glass or pitcher.

BlueIguana Tequila Bar
BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. The menu offers up Mexican favorites, including several brands of tequila and a slew of Mexican brews. There's a lineup of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or by the pitcher, and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really). Where can you find this little slice of Mexican paradise? Next to the pool, of course. So stay cool and take in the bar's vacation vibe while you kick back on your cruise - that's what official bar mascot Blue the Iguana would tell you.
